The committee wanted to create a better presence on social media and connect with the Appalachian community in a way that felt natural, while promoting events, showcasing artwork and highlighting businesses.
The Goal
SADC had an inconsistent posting schedule and limited engagement on its profile. The goal was to consistently post year-round, rather than only sharing photos when an event happened. In addition to keeping the posting momentum going, I wanted to bring more video content onto the feed. Creating reels would help pack more information into one post, rather than a lengthy caption, which is ultimately easier for the community to consume.
