Chris Berdik (author of Clamor) wanted to create a new Instagram business profile for work-related content to keep everything in one place and separate it from his personal feed. The goal was to promote his book release and share general promotional content, along with any press materials.
The Goal
I wanted to help create an authentic, casual flow of posts that was easy for Chris to maintain. Using the same minimalist color palette for a wide variety of graphics, block quotes, and promotional content was ideal, so he could have these posts ready at his fingertips. Incorporating video was also important for reaching a wider audience and increasing engagement. So, we highlighted the audio podcasts he appeared on and clipped key sound bites to encourage listeners and followers to listen to the entire podcast. Although I created set posts for him, it was equally important to blend more casual, less formal posts into his feed, making it easy to transition into other professional work he was part of (Substack writings, past book information, and photos, etc.).
