Tega Cay Police Department

The Tega Cay Police Department strives for excellence in service to its community.

Content Creation

The Tega Cay Police Department wanted to create a variety of Public Service Announcement (PSA) videos to deliver messages to the community. Their goal was to keep it short and entertaining, geared toward kids and adults, while spreading an important message to the city. In addition, TCPD wanted to hop on to a viral “Lip Sync Challenge” video that many stations were doing nationwide.

The Goal

I created 12 PSA videos for the Police Department to post on social media (YouTube, Facebook, etc.). One video per month that they can share to help keep the community safe. While the Department primarily posted these on their platforms, I also posted on my personal YouTube channel to gain more traction. Additionally, a local high school (FMHS) broadcast them in each classroom at the end of the week.

For the Lip Sync Challenge, I wanted to keep things light, fresh, and trendy. Mixing music spanning from several generations, to get the whole community involved and feeling like they can sing along. Curating fun shots, choreography, and locations were vital.

Video Content

TCPD Lip Sync Challenge

The Lip Sync Challenge was one of the department's most-viewed and most successful videos. Not only did it rack up thousands and millions of views, but it was also reported by dozens of online news outlets, all supporting its creation. Even Chamillionaire, who sings Ridin’ posted it!
